Program terms
Version 2026-09-09.3 · this is the text you agree to when you register a tag.
- You already have your own tracker on the bike
Ours is a second line, never your only one. You must have your own tracker fitted before you accept one of our tags. - Community Pedal Power volunteers can locate your bike at any time
We hold the full location history and our volunteers can see it. If you are not comfortable with that, this program is not for you. - You fit the tag and you keep it working
Hide it however you like. Keeping it attached and keeping the battery fresh is yours to do — we will email you if it goes quiet or the battery reads low. - You will not get live locations
This is not a normal tracker. There is no map you can watch. If your bike is stolen we will help look for it, but that help is secondary to your own tracker. - What you do get is a working-or-not check
A page showing the tag's recent battery level and one randomly chosen recent location, so you can confirm the tag is alive. One point at a time, on purpose. - This is a beta and we may ask for the tag back
We may ask you to return a tag for a replacement, or to come in for an upgrade. - During the beta we record and study the locations
Your bike's locations are kept for longer than usual and analyzed by Community Pedal Power volunteers to make the system work better.
Your details
Your name, email, phone, bike model, serial number and photos are used to run the
program and to help identify your bike if it is recovered. We do not sell them, and we do not
share them except with the police in connection with a reported theft.
Anyone who can read your email can reach your tag's page. Use an address
only you read.
You can stop at any time from your tag page, and we will delete your details.
